Ajay Devgn, born as Vishal Veeru Devgan, is a well-known Indian film star, director, and film producer mainly active in Bollywood. Known as a prominent actors, he has appeared in over a hundred movies and earned several honors, such as four National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. In 2016, the Government of India awarded him the Padma Shri, India's prestigious civilian award. Devgn stepped into Bollywood with the romantic-action film *Phool Aur Kaante* (1991), a blockbuster that made him an overnight star. He later starred in hit action films such as *Jigar* (1992), *Suhaag* (1994), *Vijaypath* (1994), and romantic hits like *Ishq* (1997) and *Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam* (1999). His critically acclaimed performance in *Zakhm* (1998) secured him a National Film Award for Best Actor. Throughout the 2000s, Devgn delivered highly appreciated performances in movies like *Company* (2002), *The Legend of Bhagat Singh* (2002), and *Omkara* (2006). His role as Bhagat Singh earned him his another National Film Award for Best Actor. In the 2010s, he made a strong comeback with big commercial hits such as *Singham* (2011) and *Golmaal Again* (2017). More recently, his films *Tanhaji* (2020), *Drishyam 2* (2022), and *Singham Again* (2024) have set new box office records, with *Tanhaji* securing him another National Film Award. In besides acting, Devgn operates his film production house, Ajay Devgn FFilms, established in 1999. He is married to actress Kajol, and they have two children together.
